Easter 2009
We celebrated Easter a week early this year so that the Kusie family could make the long trek to D.C. to spend some time with Mike and Katie. Unfortunately Natalie was too sick to make it, so Rick stayed at home with her. Emma got to dawn her first pretty Easter outfit, which was even more festive with the addition of the bunny ears (compliments of Dale).

Kite Day 2009
It was a very cold and almost too windy kite day in Chico. Thankfully, Amy and Troy secured a spot that sheltered us from the brunt of the wind.

Becoming mobile

Emma’s definitely getting proficient in her walker these days. She has figured out that she can use it to her advantage to gain access to fun stuff hidden behind the kitchen cabinets. Needless to say, baby proofing will be expanded this week.

Long time no write. :)
Life has been crazy in our world. Emma is getting bigger everyday. She is so animated and funny. Have to say this stage is much more exciting than a newborn. Emma now has 6 teeth, 4 of which came in at the same time. She is clapping and waving about everything. She has decided that crawling isn’t worth her time. Her preferred mode of transportation is rolling! Very cute!
As most of you know, we are expecting baby number 2 in September and Miss Emma will be a big sissy! Don’t think she cares at this point. Other than kicking my ever growing belly. Man, I get it from both sides now. Where is the justice?
Anyway, hope everyone is happy and healthy.
Love to all!

The joys of teething
With two teeth down and what feels like a million to go, Emma has been finding anything she can to stick in her mouth to soothe those poor gums. She is now sitting up on her own. When she gets bored with sitting up she begins rolling everywhere she can mainly to play with Gauley.

6 months old
Emma is growing up so fast. She is now 6 months old and I can barely believe it. We went to see Santa a few days ago and Emma was a perfect angel.

Great Grandparents Visit
Emma spent the day visiting with her Great Grandparents and Aunt Lori yesterday. We had such a wonderful visit with everyone and look forward to another visit soon.
Emma is getting so big. Last doctors visit she was 24 inches and 14 lbs. We think by the end of the month she will be sitting up. Then we better watch out she will be crawling soon after.
She is enthralled with Gauley and I think he will be her first target once she begins crawling. Whenever she looks at him she starts smiling and reaching out to grab him. Beware Gauley!

Natal Report for Emma
“Emma has a Leo rising. This means she will always be noticed. She will have nice hair and be a flirt. She will have a bit of a temper if ignored.
She is an “old soul” with a stelliums in Gemini and Aquarius (Stellium is 3 or more planets in one sign) She will be “chatty” – especially as she becomes a teenager. She will be a communicator and have a great sense of humor.
She will have friends that she will talk to all the time. She will love the telephone. She is very bright.
When she starts dating she will be inclined to choose males who hear a different drummer – guys that do not fit what parents like. She has karma about one-on-one relationships.
She will be a little manipulative about getting her way. She will threaten to run away when angry. She will love to travel.
You should consider dance and team sports for her.
Also get her a piggy bank as she will be a saver.
Great Chart and a great little Girl!”
The crazy thing is we have already started to see the temper come out when she does not get exactly what she wants. We also received 3 piggy banks for her before she was even born. That was a little freaky. It is going to be so interesting watching her grow and see which of these traits start to come out and when. Trevor and I read the whole chart last night we could totally see ourselves in her. That was a bit scary to recognize your own issues in someone else. Guess we all have a lot of learning to do.
